How to order
WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP?
We like to get to know our players. How you play, what you play and the features that you most enjoy. Sound quality, fit, finish and feel all come into play when building a custom guitar. The first step to ordering your own is to contact us so we can discuss and build the perfect guitar for you.
HOW DO I PAY?
Once you’ve confirmed the order via email, we will send an email request of 50% of the total cost as a deposit.
Upon receipt of the deposit, we will begin the construction process. Since all Moreland Guitars are built by hand for each customer, the 50% deposit is non-refundable if the customer later regrets or rejects the order.
When your order is complete, you will receive an email with pictures and a request for the remaining balance before shipment. Once that balance has been received, we will then ship the guitar to you or arrange pick-up options.
NOTE: Failure to complete the final payment within 60 days will be considered a cancellation of order.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD MY GUITAR?
Generally, it takes a minimum of twelve weeks from the time of receipt of the deposit to the time of shipment for your build.
This is a process that cannot be expedited as it takes time to select the wood, to process them, and for the lacquer to fully cure. Before the guitar is complete, it will also receive a thorough adjustment and setup to give the guitar perfect playability.
Often, we photograph or video our work to share on social media, so this is a good way for you to see the build process.
Please note that if there is a waiting list, your order will be placed in priority sequence. We will discuss any wait-times with you during our initial correspondence.
SHIPPING INQUIRES.
If you’re not local and can’t make it to the shop, we ship within North America primarily.
If you would like a shipping quote ahead of time, send an e-mail with your address so we can give you the exact shipping price. In most cases, the freight price is $200 CAN tracked and insured.
Generally, it takes 5-10 business days for the guitar to arrive to your door.
IS A CASE INCLUDE WITH PURCHASE?
Yes. To protect your new Moreland Guitar, all orders include a standard hard-shell case. The case is padded with plush inserts to protect the instrument during transport. If you would like to upgrade the case we can discuss that during our initial correspondence.
WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY POLICY COVER?
All Moreland Guitars come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty applies to the original owner of the instrument and covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If you notice something wrong, contact immediately for an evaluation. If the guitar requires a repair, shipping costs are the responsibility of the owner.
Repairs not included under the warranty include: Fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings, shrinking, discolouration, setups, adjustments or routine maintenance, damage due to extreme temperature or humidity, damage resulting from customization or repair, or normal wear and tear on parts, instruments or cases, damage caused by neglect and regular wear and tear. Limited lifetime warranty is void if another party does a repair or alteration to the instrument.
CAN I CANCEL AN ORDER?
Yes, you can cancel the order and not pay the remaining balance. However, your 50% deposit (of the total price) is non-refundable as mentioned above. This deposit is used for production hours as well as for the purchasing of materials and hardware.
If you regret your purchase within 7 days of receiving your guitar, your guitar can be returned in its original packaging and with a traceable and insured shipment method at your own expense. Once the guitar is received in ‘like-new’ condition, we will refund 40% of the total cost of the guitar. The shipping cost and deposit are non refundable.
